I have wide-ranging experiences in different areas of fitness, teaching, and research. I have extensive classroom experience through summer work at the University of the Pacific in the Jose Valdez Math Institute as a teaching assistant where I helped instruct students in the community performing poorly on standardized testing. I received my Bachelors Degree in Biology from Pacific Union College where I gained essential teaching knowledge as I was the head Systems & Human Physiology tutor. I have many hobbies that I learned through collegiate participation and/or classes; these activities include olympic lifting, rowing, ultimate frisbee, martial arts, dance instruction, and choreography. I am currently attending San Diego State University where I am enrolled in the Dual Masters program in Exercise Physiology and Nutritional Sciences. I love science, especially the applied human sciences (Physiology, Nutrition, and Biology), and I would gladly help anyone needing assistance learning a subject. I am a dynamic speaker and I use both pictures and videos to show examples to my students. I enjoy keeping sessions both enjoyable through jokes and effective through efficient progression. I prefer to interact with my students, asking them questions for clarification and recall to make sure we are both on the same page.
