I am an individual dedicated to the advancement of quality education. Since attending undergraduate college at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), it's been my goal to serve in whatever capacity possible those that are seeking quality education. After attending U.C.S.B., I got my Master's and teaching credential from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). After graduating from U.C.L.A., I taught sixth grade English, math, and social studies for five years with a LAUSD school. I would say that math and English are my two favorite subjects to teach/tutor, even though my credential allows me to teach multiple subjects for K-8. During my last two years of teaching, I was the chair of the sixth grade department for my track (C). In 2010, due to the instability of education budgets in California, I enrolled in law school at the University of Southern California (USC). I received my Juris Doctorate degree in May 2013. During my time in law school, I continued in my path of serving in the field of education by working with a special education attorney who focused on students and parents rights in regards to IEPs, due process, and discipline issues.
In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing basketball and football. I also like to play less physical games such as poker and chess. I consider myself very easy going, considerate, passionate, and culturally/socially conscious. I look forward to the opportunity to serve as a Varsity Tutor.
