I have taught high school mathematics for the past 7 years and have loved every minute of it. Throughout those seven years I earned my second Masters in Math Education and began pursuing my PhD in the field. I have had the pleasure of being nominated as a honor teacher five times by the top ten students during various years. I am a teacher leader in my community and I enjoy sharing the wealth of knowledge.

Get to know their strengths and weaknesses. Get to know their learning strategies.

Ask guided questions. Guided questions prompt students to start thinking for themselves while arriving at a solution.

Always give students praise.

Getting to know the student. Getting to know their coursework. Providing several examples.
