I have been an educator for over 20 years. I taught photography at USC, film making to teens at the Junior Arts Center in Hollywood, third grade at a Catholic school in Compton and social studies at a magnet high school for medicine and science in Los Angeles, where the majority of students move on to Ivy League Colleges.
I am a native of Switzerland, I have traveled the world and I am very confident using foreign languages and interacting with children from all cultures.
I am most proficient in social studies, having taught it at high school level for over six years. I taught classes in world history, economics and government.
However, I am currently working with a 5th grade student who needs to catch up with two years of math and I find myself really enjoying helping this young lady fast forward to proficiency at her grade level.
I approach tutoring with much creativity. I am dedicated to finding out precisely where my pupil's skills are at and to build from there, step by step with much patience.
I love to spark joy in learning and I am committed to help establish a long term structure of habits and methods for your child.
I am currently working towards an art exhibit at the Consulate General of Switzerland in Los Angeles. I am available for tutoring at least 4 hours per day.
