I began as a peer tutor at Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics for Math and Chemistry. As soon as I graduated high school, I became an assistant teacher at a summer school for at risk high school students in Harlem, NYC. I continued my tutoring career by working at a local Bronx, NYC test prep tutoring center (K-12). Many students at this center had learning disabilities. Shortly after my college graduation, as a graduate student at City University of New York, I tutored as an independent contractor (5-9th grades). I also worked as a Residential Habilitation Specialist and tutored children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. After moving to San Diego last year, I have observed more than ten schools to familiarize myself with the local education system and the curriculum. This past summer, I worked as an instructional assistant at the Charter School of San Diego, where I graded and tutored students one on one and in small groups (various 7-12 grade subjects).
