MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I recently graduated with my Masters of Environmental Science from Taylor University, and my B.S. is in Biology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Growing up, I loved exploring nature and spent many family vacations on camping trips, canoeing, and skiing. These first experiences with the natural world led me to a strong passion for sciences, particularly biology and ecology.
In the past, I have taught college labs in physical geography, earth science, botany, and conservation. My fundamental belief in teaching and tutoring is that everyone has the ability to learn and achieve academically, and my role is to foster that and help students to see that in themselves. I truly love learning, and as a result of that, I love to share that through my role as a tutor.
I've recently moved to California from the Midwest, and in my free time I like to explore the mountains, beaches, deserts, and cities.
