MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am an undergraduate at Pasadena City College. I will transfer to UC Irvine this fall. My major is Aerospace Engineering. I was born in Vietnam, and I came to the United States in 2006.
I am friendly, patient and very hardworking. Since I was ten, I realized that math is one of my strongest subjects. I have been a math tutor for Pasadena City College for almost 2 years. I tutor students with different math levels ranging from algebra to calculus. I really enjoy working with students who struggle to understand math concepts. The students I help understand the concepts better and score better on their tests. In addition to math, I also help my classmates in chemistry. Chemistry is interesting, and I am very enthusiastic about the subject. My classmates usually ask me to conduct a small group study to help them review for tests. I have learned a lot from my students because they always challenge me to become a better tutor.
I enjoy playing sports, hiking, listening to music and taking pictures. I am experienced in soccer, basketball and table tennis.
