MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I'm a recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where I focused on writing, psychology, and theatre. I started tutoring when I was fifteen, and since then I've worked with everyone from preschool to high school students. In college, I volunteered with a local literacy specialist to help children with reading difficulties. I've also led fiction writing workshops for elementary school students. I started tutoring because first and foremost I love being a student. Tutoring seemed like a good way to ensure that I continue learning for the rest of my life. People sometimes find me strange because I get excited about things like tests, or proper usage of the semi-colon. But I just love being able to share that enthusiasm with others. I love hiking in the woods and cooking with too much butter, and I never leave home without a book.
