MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a life long learner who is passionate about inquiry. My philosophy is that everyone is educable and deserves an appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. My experience working and teaching students in other countries and cities has only serve to further my belief that there is no one 'right' model, yet more individualized instruction most often yields the greatest success. Learning is comprised of many components and how we teach our children should be regularly assessed to fit the needs of an evolving society. I have experience teaching and tutoring students with Special Needs, English Language Learners and Gifted and Talented children. Yet regardless of however a child is 'labeled' I believe all children, with the right amount of motivation and interest, can be given tools that will improve their academic performance. The onus is on having a good teacher who has a tool kit full of methods and who can be creative in approach!!
