Award Winning Academic Tutoring & Test Prep

I am a graduate from The University of Findlay up in Findlay, Ohio with an education degree. While I grew up in a suburb just outside of Detroit, I ended up in Ohio due to an academic and a soccer scholarship. While I have always viewed sports as a priority in my life, academics have always come first. I started off my tutoring career back in high school. I use to coach a girls sixth grade basketball team and before practice I would help tutor the girls in both math and science. Once I reached college, I had many field experiences in tutoring before I hit my student teaching. In my first field experience, I tutored fourth graders in math, science, reading and writing. A year later, I was then placed in an eighth grade room tutoring both math and science. In my last year of college, I was placed in a sixth grade classroom for my student teaching, and I taught math, science, and social studies along with tutoring for the Ohio standardized math test. In the evenings of my student teaching, I also tutored one young student who was struggling with reading, writing, and spelling. I am now a full time science teacher at a local middle school in the Houston area. My strengths would be anatomy, biology, K-8th grade mathematics, reading and study skills for the STAAR exams. In my free time, I enjoy being outside and enjoying nature. Usually, my dog is along side of me as I love to take her for long walks. I also love discovering new restaurants and trying new food…Houston has a lot to offer in this aspect.
