MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I graduated from Vassar College in 2007. I worked for a few years in web journalism, print journalism, and film production, and then matriculated at New York University's MFA program, where I focused on fiction. I taught a writing course at NYU, and then moved on to work as a managing editor at an e-learning company that produced an online seminar for Harvard and Yale, which was the most requested class in its debut year.
I'm now transitioning into teaching, based on my experience at NYU and The Floating University. It's a great job, as it allows me to make a difference in the lives of students while also granting me the freedom to pursue fiction writing.
In my free time I am generally reading, writing, watching movies, playing games, or hitting the gym. I am political policy nerd and enjoy reading about economics and science.
