MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I graduated from the University of Houston in May 2011 with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. I am currently getting a Masters in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Houston.
I have experience in tutoring a wide range of ages since October 2010. I can work with kids from kindergarten all the way up to college students. The subjects that I tutor include: middle school math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Chemistry and Spanish.
When it comes to teaching I like to get to know my students and adjust my teaching style to better suit their needs. I have learned that some students learn better when visual examples are used, while others learn better by reading the material a couple of times. Every student is different and I like to take that into account.
Tutoring has allowed me to share my passion for education with the hope that the students will too appreciate the value of education. Whether it is a young student just beginning to develop his/her principles of life, or an older student that is beginning to make career decisions and pursuing his/her goals. More than a job tutoring has become an important aspect of my life in my attempt to make a difference in this society. When I am not tutoring I enjoy listening to music, reading, drawing and traveling.
