MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I studied French at the University of Kansas, and I finished up my studies by living in Angers, France, where I took courses in French Literature, culture, and philosophy. After that, I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. I continue to take classes to improve my instruction, and I have also completed the College Board training at the AP Institute to teach AP French.
I have taught French in both middle school and high school for the past seven years, and I have a variety of teaching methods to help students master even the most difficult French concepts. I am knowledgeable in all areas of French, from the beginning lessons through AP French. My true passion is the language, but I love to teach the history and culture as well.
French can be a lot of fun if you have the right person to help you. I believe that everyone can learn a foreign language, but that we all have a different set of strengths that we need to use to help us master the many areas of communication.
