MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I have been teaching English and Spanish language for 17 years. I had a tough time in school and I learned that my problem was in the methods I was using to learn. It took years of trial and error to become someone who can learn anything she puts her mind to. I have dedicated myself to help students learn the techniques that will make them successful learners. I teach students how to better use their brains, I teach them the latest brain research available so that they have ownership of their own minds. Studies on the brain have made it clear that once you know how you learn and retain information, you WILL be more successful. To this end I teach through laughter, which invigorates our brains with oxygen and using all your senses, so that you retain the maximum amount of information in less time. I have been very successful with students with test and grade anxiety, as well as students who seem disinterested or disengaged. I will work to find the road to learning that works for you.
