MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I've been teaching children to adults for eight years and have worked as the math tutor for my undergraduate college. I feel that successful teaching comes from understanding of not only the material, but the student as well. Every person is different and so is the way we learn. My goal is to find that way, and through understanding why my student is having difficulties, convey the lessons in simple and satisfying means.
I am not an impersonal tutor. I want to become friends with every person I teach. Through experience I've found that this significantly enhances the success of teaching anything. Also who wouldn't mind having another friend?
Though I am well versed in all areas of math, I specialize in teaching various levels of algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus.
