I am a natural teacher; I am a rigorously trained teacher. Mathematics is a language, an art, a science, and a discipline. I view mathematics as a way for young minds to know the thrill of learning a serious discipline in a high-energy, focused environment. We play and learn. We in the western world tend to focus on the science and discipline without incorporating the language and art. As an active musician and artist, I communicate the value in fine arts relationships to mathematics. That part doesn't make the money, but it does make math a more pleasant environment for the folks who think they aren't math people.

Everyone is math people; they just don't realize it. Everyone sees the patterns in the world; mathematics effectively describes them. I enjoy reaching those folks who actually think they cannot achieve success in math. The power of knowledge reaches across the chasm; knowledge networks us all into humans capable of literally anything to which we set our minds.

I have taught summer school because I have an ability to reach challenging children effectively. I am vibrant, interesting, and renaissance in ability. As a mathematician, performing musician, and artist I bring the 1800’s passion to math in 2012. Providing the Earth doesn’t collapse due to the dearth of Mayan prophesy past 2012, I shall help make new mathematics minds and assist everyone else to experience the beauty of math.
Learning is natural to humanity; rigorous training provides a way to achieve excellence. We play and learn. The quieting awesome moment that eclipses all doubt in human limitations: the student acquires knowledge, integrates it, and becomes changed by it.
