MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a certified teacher with five years of teaching experience. Prior to that I tutored at Wayne State University (Detroit, MI), Oakland Community College (Oak Park, MI), and other tutoring agencies (Michigan & Houston). Moreover I have written lesson plans for the Rice University Model Science Lab for teachers and Karako4Kids. I have also facilitated after school tutoring, taught science as part of the Mad Science program, organized school wide science fairs and administered TAKS tests. I have a degree in science with the emphasis on Nutrition & Food science as well as pre-med. I have also received a B.S. of Education from St. Thomas University and completed part of the Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. Science is my forte, I enjoy teaching and believe that patience is the number one factor for a competent tutor, teacher or professor. Also, thirst for knowledge and ability to explain the material in a way that a student understands is an essential skill that distinguishes one educator from another.
