MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Math Education. I have Illinois Secondary Education Certification in Mathematics Grade 6-12. I specialize in tutoring in math, at all levels, and also ACT preparation for math and science. I have worked with middle school, high school and college students for over five years, and I recently completed my student teaching with the tenth and eleventh grade Geometry and Intermediate Algebra II.
I enjoy tutoring students and helping them build confidence in their ability to achieve, both academically and socially. I try to employ a variety of techniques to accommodate the different backgrounds, learning styles, and academic and career goals of the students during teaching. I am constantly inspired by the progress and enthusiasm of the students.
During my free time I like to read books, watch movies or paint. I also enjoy playing volleyball and spending time with my family.
