I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University, where I majored in Secondary English Education; and I also recently received my TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) certificate from Trinity College in London. I can guide students through writing papers for college applications while also being able to provide assistance for struggling readers.

My clients have ranged from pre-school aged children learning the alphabet to adults trying to gain better job positions. I student taught at James B. Conant High School, mainly teaching Literature and Writing. In London, I was given the opportunity to student teach English the language to a group of adults from around the world in order for them to adapt to their new environment. Additionally I have tutored for a family of four, ranging from 3rd grade to 10th grade, assisting them with their homework in a variety of subjects. Currently, I am tutoring K-5th grade students, focusing on Math and English.

Most importantly, I’ve been told that I am very sociable and get along with students easily. As a student myself, I would always get in trouble for talking too much in class. Although this may not have been an ideal quality for me as a student, it is greatly beneficial to me now as an instructor. It helps me give directions in a direct manner, it allows me the ability to exhaust my thoughts until students comprehend a lesson, and most importantly it helps me bond with the students.

In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends, traveling to new countries, and shopping. I also am a very devoted Chicago Bulls fan! Go Bulls!
