MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I come from the icy and cold state of Minnesota, where I began my career in educating young people as a high school social studies teacher. My passion for warm temperatures brought me to Arizona last year to work and live with my extended family. I am currently also doing another passion of mine—coaching soccer—while I tutor and look for a good doctoral program to attend. My plans are to continue in the field of education one day as a professor of either history or education.
With my vast classroom experience I am very good at assessing student needs and responding accordingly. I believe each person learns in a unique style, and it is the responsibility of the teacher/tutor to identify that style and make accommodations in his/her instructional approach. It is this individualized approach that makes tutoring so fun and exciting.
