Award Winning Academic Tutoring & Test Prep

I am a California native and moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University. At Northwestern, I majored in Political Science, International Studies and minored in English Writing. I plan to attend law school next year in order to pursue my interest in International Law.


I have prior experience tutoring both professionally and through volunteer groups, and during that time have truly grown passionate about teaching what I love to others. My clients have ranged from elementary to high school students. I primarily tutor in the social sciences, the humanities, writing, LSAT prep and Spanish.

Most importantly, I believe in teaching a client, not doing the homework for them. Effective study habits have more long-term benefits than cramming for the latest test, assignment or quiz.

In addition, I am very outgoing and personable. I believe in building a friendly, rather than antagonistic, relationship with clients. In this way, tutoring sessions are enjoyable rather than a chore. Also, good rapport between the client and tutor allows the client to feel comfortable asking questions or asking for further assistance.

In my free time, I love reading, writing, going to concerts in Chicago's great music scene and hanging out with friends.
