Award Winning Academic Tutoring & Test Prep

I’m an undergraduate Honors student at the University of Houston. I have lived in the Houston area since I was five and love it here.

Math is my favorite subject to tutor but I am proficient in Chemistry and Biology as well. I have years of experience tutoring others, from helping my four younger siblings with schoolwork and test prep to volunteering on National Honors Society tutoring nights. I think that everyone has the opportunity to do well in school if they get the right direction and enough practice. As a tutor, I work hard to help each student get to a place where they can feel comfortable with the material and go into every test with confidence in their ability. I like to find many different ways to explain topics or formulas including fun tricks that make them easier. I understand that not everyone has the same learning style and like to find one that fits each of my students.

As a college freshman, I am close enough to middle school and high school to remember the classes and understand the stress students are under to do well so they can ensure their future. I think a tutor-student relationship works better if the tutor can understand the student’s problems and mind set.
