Hi there! I am a conscientious, experienced Latin tutor. I recently relocated to Chicago from Cincinnati, OH, where I was a preferred Latin tutor at a high school that consistently ranks in U.S. News' and Newsweek's lists of top 100 high schools in the nation. In Cincinnati, I worked with Latin students at all levels. My beginning Latin students saw particularly outstanding results, because I was able to teach them the English grammar and mechanics they needed to transition from English to Latin.

From my professional experience as a Shakespearean actor and my educational experience as a Shakespearean director, I know that I can explain and enliven classic texts for people of all ages. I have a strong literature background, and I am passionate about tutoring students who struggle to understand or appreciate English literary treasures. I have extensive informal experience editing the written work of my friends and sisters. I could be an asset to students struggling to write college or academic essays.

Finally, I've seen incredibly bright students struggle with standardized testing in a way I did not. I have worked with them to understand the difference between "right" answer and "best" answer in a testing scenario.
