MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I've tutored in a variety of different subjects at the elementary level, both as a member of National Honor Society during High School and while belonging to the Scholar Leader Program during my college years at Miami University. More recent experiences include tutoring friends and college underclassmen in Spanish grammar and conversation.
My teaching style is one very focused on detail. I lead a very structured lesson but also find it very important to frequently "check-up" and analyze the progress to make sure my students are both comfortable with my pace and retaining the material.
A typical tutoring session with me typically involves as much talking as listening, particularly with my students learning Spanish. I enjoy building a good rapport and working towards goals I have for myself as a tutor, as well as those my students have for themselves.
