I am from New York and earned both my BA and Masters degree from Columbia University.

I find teaching to be extremely rewarding and love tapping into my students' motivation and potential. I've found that all students have a great capacity for progress and change if I use the right approach. My education experience includes both private one-to-one tutoring and teaching in a public high school. My students have expressed that they appreciate my rigorous, yet patient teaching style. I have high expectations!


For standardized exams such as the SAT, test-taking strategy is foremost in what I teach. Problem-solving techniques first, then vocabulary-building and grammar mechanics. Under my tutelage, I have seen students' test scores jump, sometimes by more than 200 points.


My writing has been published in various online and print publications and I am a strong writing coach. Everyone can write. I especially enjoy helping my students craft essays and papers and brainstorm ideas (college admissions, research papers, thesis proposals, creative projects, etc.) In addition, I taught at a public high school in France and am available to tutor French grammar, literature and culture studies.
