I have had a very adventurous life in which I have embarked on journeys around the world, researched a wide variety of organisms, helped to start several environmental programs, and experienced different cultures first-hand.

My passion for helping others manifested itself into a career when I decided to become a teacher. With Bachelors Degree in both Biology and Chemistry, as well as a Minor in Mathematics, entering the teaching profession was not the commonly chosen route by my peers. However, my heart drew me to education - and I have loved every moment of it!

I have been a middle and high school science / math teacher for the past 5 years. I have also tutored, both in the corporate and private realm, for nearly 7 years. Thus, I have a great deal of professional training and personal experience - making me highly effective at helping students of all abilities to learn.

As a tutor, my goal is to provide all students with the tools to be successful in school and, therefore, in life. I teach from the belief that ALL students can learn, and thus have a wide variety of techniques to teach any student, of any ability, and in any subject.
