I have been tutoring for over five years. I specialize in test prep, and assisting students in improving their writing skills. I also work with students in history and general homework help.

I am a published writer, with articles in national and local publications and Yahoo! Finance. I wrote about legal and financial issues and discovered that I really enjoy the law - so I moved to Williamsburg, Virginia for three years and studied at the College of William & Mary, the country's oldest law school. During the week, I am a practicing attorney who has taken and passed three bar exams - each on the first attempt.

I believe that any student can achieve and that no one style fits everyone. I maintain flexibility and adjust my methodologies for each student that I work with. However, I generally like to keep my sessions casual, focusing on improving the student's confidence and scores, as I have found that some students become discouraged when they struggle.

In my spare time I read a wide variety of books, enjoy listening to music, and playing with my three-year-old daughter. When I can find time, I like doing crossword puzzles as well.
