MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of St. Thomas, and I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in the same. I am qualified to help with both reading and writing.
While pursuing my B.A., I worked in the University's Learning and Writing Center as an English tutor. I am currently an adjunct instructor for Lone Star College, teaching Developmental Writing I and II. I also tutor my students on an individual basis as needed.
My students are allowed to evaluate me at the end of every semester and all of these evaluations have been extremely positive. I do my absolute best to make my class fun and interesting in order to keep my students engaged in the learning process. I always take the individuality of my students into consideration in order to accommodate individual learning styles.
My life goal is to help others learn to read and write well, because I recognize that personal success relies on these two very important skills. Additionally, I pride myself on being extremely patient and understanding.
In my free time, I love horseback riding, traveling, movies, reading, and spending time with my friends and family.
