MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I have been tutoring mostly undergraduate college students for about 3 years now. I mostly tutor biology and in September 2010, I became an Adjunct Professor of Biology at LIU/C.W. Post College. I believe in using a hands-on approach with my students where I actively involve them in my tutoring sessions. I figure what they know from what they don't know and essentially build a strong or even stronger foundation of biology from there. This way, I am not giving the student information he/she already knows but instead I am helping them and challenging them to use the knowledge that they have as well as expand that knowledge so that they could gain a deeper understanding of the biological concepts they are studying and essentially understand the big picture of biology itself.
