Award Winning Academic Tutoring & Test Prep

I am a 2012 graduate from Rice University and originally from Minnetonka, MN. I finished my degree in just three years at Rice and have a passion for academics. I tutor a wide variety of subjects, but I especially love to prepare students for standardized testing and college entrance exams. I've learned that success on standardized tests depends on the strategy with which the student approaches the test. I have taken many standardized tests on my way to becoming a National Advanced Placement Scholar and National Merit Scholar; I love to share my successful test-taking strategies with other students. I find that these strategies give students the confidence to succeed. I realize that my ability to excel in an academic setting is a blessing, and I love to shared my gifts with others looking to succeed through tutoring. I love learning of every kind, so I tutor a wide variety of subjects including organization skills, Spanish, Biology, and more. Learning is so empowering! It is my goal as a tutor to empower students to succeed. I will be attending the University of Houston next year to pursue a Doctorate in Social Education so that I can continue to empower people through learning. I will also be starting law school at the University of Houston in 2013. In my free time I enjoy reading biographies, watching documentaries, seeking out local Houston music and dining, and designing clothing.
