MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a recent graduate from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Biology. I was a teaching assistant there for several Biology classes for over two years, and I've taught students both in a classroom setting and one-on-one. I always try to get students to be inspired by the material they are studying, because I think that is the best way to learn it. If I can get a student genuinely interested in the subject they are studying, then I am sure the better grades and test scores will follow.
I am an unashamed Biology nerd, and I love all of Science in general. I have learned so much about the world and how amazing life is through these subjects and I want to pass that nerdiness onto others. I am also a big music nerd, and I love all styles of music- Pop/rock, classical, and opera included. There is such a great variety of bands and ways to experience music, and I try to appreciate all of them.
