MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
In December, I received my Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering. To say the least, I love math and science! I believe that many students shy away from these subjects because they seem less approachable. I can help these students build confidence and find the best methods they need to succeed.
At Cornell University, where I completed my undergraduate studies, I was a math tutor at the campus's official tutoring center. I helped a range of students. Some were English majors and some majored in Physics. I learned how to explain math in many ways for many different minds. I learned how to explain the problems in a clear and concise way for even the self declared 'math impaired' students.
Throughout those tutoring experiences, I have gained a respect for the student/teacher relationship. And I look forward to building more relationships through Varsity Tutors. I recently moved to Atlanta and I am excited to get to know the area and its people.
