Hello there! My name is Karen and I recently graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Visual Arts, Studio Practices and a Minor in Mathematics. Top three joys of my life are the arts, math and helping people out; which is why I enjoy tutoring so very much.

I have been tutoring since I can remember. From my puzzled first grade classmates that found multiplication and fractions confusing to college students that needed help with calculus. In general I love to help my students out of any confusion, but I take a special kind of gratification in helping people overcome their struggles with mathematics.

I am qualified to tutor in many branches of mathematics, chemistry, beginning French, and Spanish. My strengths as a tutor are my undying patience, my ability to single out what is causing confusion, and the joy I get from knowing that my student will no longer dread his or her next math period.

On my off time I enjoy learning anything I don’t already know, exploring the city and its vicinities, meeting new people, trying and cooking new foods, the beach, and so, so much more.
