Hello, I am a PhD student at the University of Illinois Chicago. I am able to teach a wide variety of subjects at both an advanced, college level as well as providing a sound foundation in the basics. My personal strengths are microbiology, biochemistry and organic chemistry, but that is not to say that I am unable to teach subjects in mathematics, inorganic chemistry or many other subjects. Part of my everyday routine is using the concepts learned in these subjects to perform my duties.

As part of my education and background, I have taught classes at an introductory college level in Biology 101 and 102. I received high marks for engaging and explaining key concepts to my students. I have also tutored friends and family members ranging from high school to medical school. I try to engage students at every step of a problem to ensure that they are not simply memorizing the answers but to ensure that they are understanding the problem at a fundamental level.

Most importantly is the fact that I am a patient, understanding and easy-going individual. I try to make sessions as interesting and engaging as possible so as not to bore my students. I try to keep a light atmosphere by including real world examples as well by incorporating funny tidbits, interesting strategies and useful tricks.

Finally, I have many interests outside of education and school. I enjoy lifting weights, playing video games and catching up on the news.
