MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
Put simply, I love to tutor and teach. I approach each tutoring session as a unique entity, as I realize that each student has different ability and needs. I try to be as flexible as possible in how I structure and run each session. A student should not be overwhelmed by being tutored, and as such I try to make the atmosphere both fun and serious. In my view, nothing can be accomplished with out a little bit of levity.
My experience is lengthy and varied. I have coached, tutored and assisted students from 7 to college level. I am thus comfortable working with any age range or ability level.
Currently I am at ASU working on my PhD in history. I am uniquely positioned as I am both a student and work as a teacher's assistant. In my opinion this allows me to think as both the teacher and the student, or the tester and testee.
Outside of tutoring and history, my interests include travel, soccer, football, literature and hiking.
