I am currently a student at Arizona State University studying to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in both mathematics and physics.
In the past, I have worked as a volunteer tutor, which helped me find my love for teaching. My first experience tutoring was at an elementary school in Central Phoenix where I helped students with their mathematics homework. After this, I went on to volunteer as a tutor at my own high school, where I would tutor my peers in advanced placement chemistry and calculus. My most recent tutoring experience was working with all different age groups on different subjects such as English and mathematics.
These experiences have taught me that there are many different ways that people learn, and that not all methods of teaching work as effectively. Realizing this, I take pride in being able to extract the critical information about certain topics, especially in mathematics, and explain them in several different ways. I am confident in my ability to explain the theory, show diagrams, and give real world examples in a manner that is easy to comprehend, no matter the learning style. Moreover, I absolutely love mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and am extremely enthusiastic about being able to teach others about their wonders.
In addition to studying mathematics and sciences, I enjoy writing and producing electronic music, building circuits (I am working on large scale LED circuits currently to go along with my electronic music), playing the cello, photography, collecting and tinkering with old computers, and four-wheeling in my Jeep.
