MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I have recently moved back to my home town of Tucson. I have several years experience in academics, industry and government (military). My tutoring experience stretches back to my undergraduate years in the early 1990's.
I love Chemistry, and I enjoy teaching Chemistry at Pima Community College. Tutoring is equally enjoyable for me because I get to see the individual student's progress as they grasp the concepts and gain confidence in their Chemistry skills and knowledge.
I often include "real world" examples in my teaching in order to help the students understand how Chemistry affects their lives on a daily basis. Overall, my goal is not only to help my students learn Chemistry, but to enjoy Chemistry. With that enjoyment and knowledge come greater success in Chemistry classes and higher scores on exams.
My hobbies include riding our three-person tandem bike with my family, playing family board games, hiking, target shooting, and fishing.
