I'm an undergraduate at Rice University, and I grew up in Rochester, MN. While I tutor a variety of subjects, math is easily my favorite. I love algebra, calculus, and everything in between, and it shows in my work.

My mom tutors, and I picked up my first client from her in ninth grade. Since then, I've worked with students from eighth grade to adults returning to the classroom, students struggling to pass to students wanting to attend (and getting into!) Ivy League schools. Most students come to me for math, but I've also worked with standardized test preparation, chemistry, biology, Spanish, grammar and writing, economics, statistics, and time management. Two families still hire me when I visit home for Christmas break and over the summer.

Math and science classes are really just elaborate puzzles to solve, and most of my students learn to enjoy the process of figuring out what to do once I help them develop the confidence and skill set they need to be successful. Not everyone loves math, but I do, and it's contagious.

In my free time, I like to explore Houston with my friends: from coffee shops to parks to museums; this is a really fun city! I also enjoy cooking, playing with dogs, listening to all kinds of music, and reading a good book.
