Award Winning Academic Tutoring & Test Prep

I possess extensive teaching and tutoring experience in a variety of academic disciplines. I served as an instructor for Kaplan Test Preparation and Admissions from 2002-07, leading over 25 separate full courses. In addition, I also taught courses in GRE, GMAT, SAT, and ACT preparation in addition to training new instructors as the co-lead teacher of the Kaplan center in Highland Park Illinois. In 2006 I was one of approximately 150 in the inaugural class of Chicago Teaching Fellows, a cohort of individuals who sought accelerated alternative teaching certification through a joint program between Chicago Public Schools and National Louis University. After an intensive summer workshop, I taught high school mathematics full time for two years at Chicago Discovery Academy, my courseload included Honors Algebra I and Honors Geometry, AP Calculus, Algebra I, and a formal preparation course for juniors taking the PSAE (which includes, among other components, ths ACT).

I thoroughly enjoy the rewarding experiences I have had in my teaching endeavors. I welcome the opportunity to apply my significant experience in teaching to clients of Varsity Tutors.
