MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a recent graduate from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and Psychology, minor in Global Health. During my time as an undergrad, I had the opportunity to volunteer as a tutor for children with behavioral and psychological needs at the Rice Child and Family Institute. Currently I am working as a community health educator through the Chicago Health Corps (an Americorps Program), and have experience teaching health classes in Chicago Public Schools for children in grades 3rd-8th. Both experiences have developed a passion for teaching that motivates me as a tutor, especially in providing students the structure, knowledge, and confidence they need to excel.
