MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I have been helping others learn math in some form or another
for about half my life.Over the past 6 years I have tutored in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Calculus (single variable, AB, BC).
My greatest strength as a tutor, in my opinion, comes from my varied schooling. This range has exposed me to learning styles of almost every type (as well as students of all kinds), which I try to utilize when tutoring since everyone learns differently. More importantly, I've watched where people begin to make errors and have difficulties in math. Most problems people have with math are due to small, nagging gaps in their knowledge which relentlessly cause problems later on. Before I start with the material a student is currently working, on I always go back and make sure I know where the gaps of knowledge are. In short, I love math and love to teach it!
