MY PERSONAL STATEMENT
I graduated last May from Rice University with a double major in philosophy and visual and dramatic arts. I have extensive experience teaching SAT Critical Reading, Writing, SAT II Literature, SSAT, ISEE, and K-8 English and grammar, both one-on-one and in classroom settings. I am passionate about expanding both the kind of educational services I provide and the audience to which these services are offered; as an aspiring filmmaker, artist, and writer, I currently intern for the non-profit microcinema Aurora Picture Show, where I assist with animation and arts workshops offered free to the public in various institutions across Houston, such as Texas Children's Hospital and IKEA. You can usually find me reading a book, watching a movie, taking a walk, editing film, and crafting.
