I am a Texas native, having come from Dallas, where my family lives, to Houston in order to attend Rice. I am a psychology major with a biochemistry minor because I am going to attend medical school after college, so I know a lot about balancing many different things!

I have been with Varsity Tutors for over two and a half years, and in that time I have grown to truly love tutoring, which I think is extremely important in order to be an effective tutor. My clients have ranged from middle school to high school students, with most falling between 6th and 10th grade. Although I have tutored a lot of math, I am very capable of tutoring many other subjects, as I also have a strong background in science, social sciences, and Spanish.

Most importantly, I do not only believe in helping a client through a particular homework assignment or test. I strive to also instill better, long-term study habits, focusing on the root of academic success as well as individual assignments.

In addition, I am very personable and easy to get to know. I top off at only 5'1", so I'm very small and certainly not intimidating! I'm also very outgoing and like to get to know my clients and for them to get to know me. I believe that a solid foundation is essential to fostering an effective tutoring environment, as it is much easier to interact when the client and tutor are comfortable with each other.

In my free time, I love horseback riding as well as running. I also read a lot, enjoy watching football, and spend time with friends.
