Tutoring review by Cyre in Lowell, MA
1. Checked the student's Religion homework to make sure it was done. 2. Math CW - 4-5, least common multiples and common multiples. We systematically did the first 6 together. He still guessed a lot, but I showed him how to double check whether or not a multiple was indeed a common multiple. By the end of the evening he demonstrated that he knew how to solve these problems, but it takes time for him to really get the math in general. 3. Had 4 literature words to memorize, which he has. 4. Showed me his English assignment (creating a Rising Action) for a story. 5. Social Studies Chapter 5 Terms done after our session.

Tutoring review by Rachel in Lowell, MA
For my first meeting with the student, I had him complete a full-length practice test prior to our session. We then went over basic strategies that can be applied to all sections of the ACT, as well as strategies specific to the math section. We scored the math section for the test he took, and went over the problems he missed. We spent some time going over trigonometry problems, and I assigned him another practice math section for homework.

Tutoring review by Melissa in Lowell, MA
We began by reviewing the initial 'sk' blend.  After some brainstorming, the student used salt painting to create words containing the 'sk' blend.  We then worked on incorporating this blend into her writing.  She then had the opportunity to practice it in her reading.
