We went through her worksheets. It was about exponents and how to add, subtract, multiply and divide them. I explained them to her and we went through almost 15 questions together. She understood how she has to do them. Then we went through the polynomials and their graph. We used degrees and leading coefficients to find the end behavior of each graph. She understood them but she needs to practice a little. She is doing great.

Tutoring review by Aaron in Geneva, IL
We discussed reasons for why the student may need help performing better. We addressed all the subjects for school individually. I made sure to address any problems in any subject. He had a question about fractions in math class so we reviewed the rules and arithmetic for multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting fractions. We also discussed ways to stay organized and how to study. The student had an understanding after finishing our review of the math and I left the student with ways to be successful in the classroom.

We covered simplification of polynomials and rational functions. The student struggles with minor errors when calculating algebraic expressions. She seems confident about being able to understand all of the material. I taught simple strategies for reducing minor errors. She is ranging in the C to B- in her quizzes. I look to increase this to at least the B+ mark and she's definitely capable of achieving A's.
