Tutoring review by Sarah in Creedmoor, NC
The student had a test last Friday. She said she thought it went well, much better than it would have had she not had tutoring last week. This week, we worked on her new chapter, which is on finding area of regular polygons and irregular triangles. She seemed to understand the concepts after I explained them to her. I think it is good that she will have a tutor for the entirety of this chapter, instead of starting a couple days prior to the test. This will hopefully prevent her from falling behind in this unit.

Tutoring review by Allan in Creedmoor, NC
We initially covered area, and he got a good understanding of it easily by answering all of the section problems quickly. He suggested to go back to circles because he said he was not confident on that section. He really needs to practice more on circles. He was not familiar on some of the theorems. We will focus on those then on our next sessions.

Tutoring review by Kwaku in Creedmoor, NC
The student and I had a good session covering both subjects of chemistry and algebra. She has a quiz coming up in algebra that I think she will do well on. In chemistry, we covered the kinetic theory which was tough to explain because it's difficult to comprehend the concept of reversible reactions and how they work. The next time we are together we will cover it more, along with the other work she has.

Tutoring review by Richard in Creedmoor, NC
This session, we went over introduction to radicals and imaginary numbers, and then practiced simplifying and adding/subtracting radicals. We built on the principles we already learned, such as factoring, so we could evaluate each problem efficiently. The student is continuing his lessons in preparation for his final exam, which he will do great on.

Tutoring review by Jennifer in Creedmoor, NC
The student and I worked through approximately 30 SAT grammar questions and several reading passages. He did well on the majority of the grammar questions, and we focused on unclear antecedents, colon and comma usage, and determining whether sentences are relevant to the passage as a whole. On the reading passages, he did well identifying the context of the passages and details, but struggled some with the argument of particular paragraphs. We will look at that more closely next session.
