Tutoring review by Nathan in Centennial, CO
It was a pretty good first session. We started working on his new physics material, but abandoned that after a few problems, because he understands the material adequately. Instead we worked on the difficult problems from his previous test and set up the 2-d kinematic problems. I think he is getting it better, but I think he should still practice some more before he will have the material mastered.

We went over strategies for the sentence completions and did several sections together, discussing the best ways to get to the answer. We also discussed strategies for the reading comprehension, and he did a timed Reading section that we then went through.

The student and I met again for an hour to specifically review math and to discuss strategies for taking the ISEE. We reviewed integers, fractions/decimals/percents, exponents/squares, order of operations, and solving algebraic equations. She seemed familiar with most of the material presented. She was attentive and asked questions about concepts she did not understand. We plan to meet again next Tuesday.
