Tutoring review by Cameron in Cambridge, MD
On Tuesday I worked with Student A and we worked on graphing tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant functions. These can be very tricky, but he did a very nice job. We also have to find the domain and range as well as the vertical asymptotes. Again, he did a great job. On Thursday I worked with Student B and we worked on factoring shortly, but spent the majority of our time graphing functions by creating a table of values. We then had to answer questions regarding where the zeros were and the max and mins. These are also tough concepts for students to get, but some visual aids I showed her helped her to understand these. She seemed to get them by the end of the session. When we were factoring a light bulb also seemed to go off.
