"We went over adjectives this week. I worked on having both students describe animals is full sentences, specifically unicorn for student A and the cheetah for Student B. If the animal is feminine, I tried to nudge them to change the end of the adjective to match."
"The student has a persuasive essay to write regarding parenting techniques. We spent the time reading the source article and forming two of her four paragraphs for the essay. She has some very difficult homework that she is coming home with each week, and it takes a good amount of time to translate and comprehend the articles before diving into writing. Despite that, she keeps a good attitude and presses on in her learning. We will meet either later today or tomorrow to complete the essay. She will work on as much as she can in the meantime."
"We went over grammar and vocabulary from Unit 1. I suggested the student use flashcards to practice the meaning of verbs and some phrases; that works fine for him as he regularly doesn't like to practice writing. His mother created a digital flashcard account immediately and the student had the chance to play and learn at the same time. He also practiced some writing when we corrected wrong answers from previous quizzes at the school. I can see progress in his learning process. I cannot wait to see his grades improved...so far his grades are in the mid 70s."
"The student and I met this afternoon and began our session reviewing last week's vocabulary index cards which he did extremely well. He devoted time during the past week writing out cards and learning the words being covered in class. I did communicate with his Spanish teacher and our plan is for the student to retake Quiz 2 vocabulary and grammar. We will work on these over the upcoming week."
"Today was a very pleasant session. The student had a light week in Spanish, mainly reviewing materials already learned. So, today we did a lot of drills on "Ser" and "Tener." He is becoming more comfortable with the two concepts and is very eager to learn them. He knows the material, but sometimes he second guesses himself. When he relaxes the material flows. Today we also learned 10 new vocabulary words in order to increase his vocabulary and next week we will have a quiz on what we learned. I believe the thing is to continue practicing so he becomes even more comfortable with the material because he has no problem retaining the information learned. He is a pleasant student and a joy to work with."
"The present tense AR verbs were reviewed, the use of object pronouns, the use of masculine and feminine articles and stem changing verbs were some on the concepts studied in this session. Exercises were given for each concept taught for the student to show her understanding. She was given the chance to fill in the blanks with correct conjugated verbs, then read it exercise for pronunciation purposes. Extra work was left for her to do. This session was an excellent one."
