Award-Winning Trigonometry Tutors in Atlantic Beach, FL
Greg ...enjoys teaching and helping people so I've decided to tutor in my spare time. I specialize in math tutoring as I was always the guy in high school and college helping out others in my class whose questions weren't answered or who just didn't get it during the lecture. My job as a structural designer involves lots of math, mainly trigonometry, and so it has kept me sharp and still able to do SAT math...

Leo Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing the look on a student's face when he/she has just grasped a difficult concept.... My teaching philosophy is difficult concepts are merely combinations of simple concepts. If you show a student that all the pieces are straightforward, they broaden their horizons and reach great heights.... In a first session with a new student, I would find out what interests them so I can draw analogies from that area. I would also assess what they know already on the topic we will be studying so I know more clearly what I should assist them with.

My wife and I are huge Notre Dame fans! I also like going on trips with my family and playing around with our two dogs. I look forward to meeting and helping many students in the future and remember Math is not only necessary for...

Stacey I am tremendously excited about the opportunity to help others learn and gain more knowledge. As a recent college graduate, I understand firsthand the benefit of learning within a community. I have had the opportunity to tutor elementary school students, college peers, and everything...... Start by first reading aloud, and taking smaller segments of the passage and dialogue about what is going on. Also, making sure they understand the words in the reading passage and the context in which they are used.

Luchette ...Bachelors in Biology and minor in Psychology. Upon graduation, I taught 8th grade science for four years. As a teacher, I had the opportunity to interact with great students and see the progress that they made through out the school year. The most memorable moment as a teacher, was everyday. Everyday during my teaching career was fun and exciting and educational all at the same time. One of my favorite things about teaching is the...

Christopher I have been taking upper-level math and science classes at the University of North Florida for some time. I have about 33 credits remaining for a bachelor's degree with a concentration in general physics and a minor in mathematics. I hope to simplify matters that might seem complicated. Many times complex concepts are best mastered in a step-by-step fashion. This approach demands patience, however, it usually ends in a cumulative understanding of these principal concepts.

Ginger ...years with students in small groups and individually. My primary subject of tutoring is in math, which I love. To me, there is no better feeling than seeing the light come on when a concept that was "too hard" becomes understandable to a student. I also love that students from past years will approach me in public and share their successes and thank me for the help I was able to give them.... I believe that everyone can have a deeper understanding of mathematical principles. I also believe that there is more than one way to solve any given problem. I do not believe that rote memorization of facts or processes is true learning. To that end, I talk with each student and ask questions to find out how each person thinks and how they best learn. I am then able to show them different techniques using their strengths to guide the lesson. I continue to check for understanding throughout the lesson to ensure that the process is working, and if not, I change direction. In this way, my instruction is personalized for each student.

Michael ...a relaxed, stress free environment. My goal is to help students learn in the way they find most effective. If one way of explaining a topic does not work, I will try explaining it in another, more fitting, way. My hope is that through asking students questions about their work, they can better understand what is in front of them. I want to be a part of a student's learning process, and I believe I...
